CPR/AED is a 2 1/2 hour course offering education and certifications under the American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI). This course prepares students for basic medical emergencies. Topics include: sudden cardiac arrest, basic CPR for infant, child, and adult, automated external defibrillator (AED), and foreign body airway obstruction.

Nationally recognized ASHI certification is issued immediately upon course completion; valid two years from date of issue.

This combined CPR/AED and First Aid course is a 5 hour course offering education and certifications under the American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI). This course prepares students for basic medical emergencies. Topics include: The Role of the First Aid Provider, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, Basic CPR for infant, child, and adult, Basic Life Support Care, Automated External Defibrillator (AED), Foreign Body Airway Obstruction, First Aid Assessment, Caring for Serious Injury, Burns and Sudden Illness. Additional First Aid topics are available upon request.

Nationally recognized and OSHA compliant ASHI certification is issued immediately upon course completion; valid two years from date of issue.

This BLS for Healthcare Provider classroom course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.

Audience: For healthcare providers such as EMS personnel, physician assistants, physicians, nurses, nursing students, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, and others who must have a credential (card) documenting successful completion of a BLS course.

Upon successful completion of written test and skills demonstration, students receive an American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider E-Card, valid for two years.

 

Healthcare providers will learn single-rescuer and team basic life support for adults, children and infants through 5 interactive exercises, scenarios and a written test. This course may be used for initial or renewal BLS. Upon successful completion of the online portion, students are required to attend an in-person skills assessment. Upon completion of both the online didactic training, and in-person skills assessment, the student will be issued a BLS E-card. All BLS certifications are valid for 2 years and the universally accepted "Healthcare Provider" level CPR certification.

ACLS consists of 8 hours of classroom lecture, simulated cases and a written test consisting of multiple-choice questions. Our experienced instructors focus on educating in a supportive and dynamic environment, facilitate discussion, and prepare students for every position of a code team. Short breaks are included throughout the class and a 30-minute lunch on your own is in addition to the 8-hours of class. You are welcome to bring food and beverages. This meets or exceeds the minimum standard for ACLS and certified by the American Heart Association.

HeartCode ACLS is the AHA’s blended learning delivery method for the ACLS Course. Blended learning is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner, followed by a hands-on session

HeartCode ACLS is a self-directed, comprehensive eLearning program that uses eSimulation technology to allow students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. To enter the course, students must complete a precourse self-assessment. Students will then be presented with a team dynamics lesson and 10 In-hospital patient cases, including a BLS case and 2 megacode cases. The cases may be repeated as many times as necessary to pass.

This course may be used for initial or renewal ACLS Course completion.

Please bring your certificate of completion from the HeartCode ACLS. An AHA ACLS Provider course completion card will be issued upon successful completion and at the time of your scheduled skills testing
